TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The programs, classes, expeditions and retreats offered by The Four Winds Society, Inc. (“Four Winds” or “FWS” hereinafter) are intensive journeys of learning and transformation. In order to receive the full benefit of the programs, classes, expeditions and retreats, students must be committed to their journey. The following policies are intended to assist with a successful experience.

 

We ask that participants attending any of our offerings do so strictly for educational reasons and not to seek healing of any kind. Persons with health or psychiatric problems may find some programs physically and mentally trying and risky. We recommend that in case of doubt, a physician or mental health professional be consulted.

 

The Four Winds reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a participant at any time, and to make changes in the itinerary whenever deemed necessary for the comfort, convenience, and safety of our participants, and to cancel a program at any time.

  

RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS & EXPEDITIONS

The below terms and conditions apply to in-person programs sold by The Four Winds including residential training programs held in Chile and all expeditions.

 

Registration: Registration will be considered confirmed upon receipt of your initial payment. Based on space available, The Four Winds will aim to facilitate student bookings at later dates if a courses or expeditions fill to capacity. In the rare circumstance that minimum class or event sizes are not reached, such event will be rescheduled, and all associated payments will remain in good standing.

 

Cancellation Policy

Due to limited availability for these events, your deposit is non-refundable and non- transferable. We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel your enrollment. Please carefully review our cancellation policy below:

 

  • If you cancel your enrollment 60 days or more prior to the start date of the program, you will incur a cancellation fee of $2,000. Any amount paid over $2,000 will be refunded.

  •  

  • If a cancellation request is received 59 days or less prior to the scheduled program, no refunds will be issued. Notice of cancellation must be sent to accounting@thefourwinds.com

Cancellation Policy for Lodging

We understand that plans can change, and we are here to assist. Please review our lodging cancellation policy:

 

  • If you need to cancel your reservation 60 days or more before your scheduled arrival date, you will incur a cancellation fee of 30% of the total cost of your accommodation.

  • If you cancel your reservation within 59 days of your scheduled arrival date, no refunds will be issued.

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to accounting@thefourwinds.com

 

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance in order to protect yourself in case extenuating circumstances force you to cancel your trip.

 

For accommodations which are paid directly to the hotel or retreat center, the cancelation policy of that hotel or retreat center will apply.

 

Disclaimer: Although The Four Winds and Los Lobos SPA will do everything possible to hold programs, classes, and retreats as scheduled, cancellations may occur for reasons beyond the control of The Four Winds and Los Lobos SPA. Such cancellations may be the result of acts of God or force majeure (including, but not limited to, earthquakes, volcanoes, severe storms, floods, etc.), political machinations (including, but not limited to, war, closure of borders, etc.), terrorism or threats of terrorist activities, global health crises or pandemics, or acts of other third parties.

 

If a program or course is canceled for reasons indicated in this paragraph, or for any other reason beyond the control of The Four Winds and Los Lobos SPA, then the participant will be given a credit to attend a future course, program, or expedition of the same nature as the canceled event for a period of one year. No refunds will be issued for cancellations beyond the control of The Four Winds and Los Lobos SPA. 

 

PROPRIETARY INFORMATION POLICY

This policy is to ensure that the healing practices, exercises, materials and terms presented to students in any program are utilized appropriately. In order to enroll in any program or course, students agree to the restrictions on the use of information presented by The Four Winds, and students and graduates must observe the following guidelines for using and sharing this work:

  1. Students and graduates of any Four Winds program may not advertise or present themselves in any way that implies that they are a branch or authorized representative of The Four Winds.

  2. Students or graduates may not advertise or represent themselves as being certified by The Four Winds to teach, unless they have gone through the Dying Consciously or Medicine Wheel Teacher Training Programs as taught by The Four Winds and have received the appropriate certification and authorization.

  3. Our teaching is an oral tradition, and students are encouraged to take notes. However, any materials handed out during programs are for the students’ personal use only. Students may not provide materials to any other individuals, including clients or family members, unless authorized by The Four Winds through written permission.

  4. You may not teach Four Winds healing techniques, methods, exercises, materials or any other part of the curriculum developed or used by The Four Winds in any manner. Setting up schools, or sponsoring seminars, workshops and training programs that use The Four Winds techniques, curriculum, and materials is unlawful, and prohibited.

  5. Graduates of the Energy Medicine Training are authorized to practice as an Energy Medicine Practitioner and Health Coach but are not authorized to teach or train others in the healing methods and techniques taught by The Four Winds.
